At Pronto Progress, the Software Architect, Senior is a full cycle position encompassing software development, design, testing and documentation. They have constant communication with the client in order to compose and understand functional, technical and end-user specifications, as well as, translate business requirements into robust scalable solutions. Architects in this position have the ability to write a software interface in HTML/5 or develop in OpenEdge, C#, Visual Basic, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, Java, MySQL, Razor, AJAX; or SOAP, REST Services. Their ability to compose test and validation plans, as well as, conduct performance testing and tuning is pivotal to ensuring the functionality of all projects. Throughout the day, they remain in constant communication with the project leader and fellow developers, to communicate the project status and timeline of events. This position supervises and mentors the Software Architect as well as the Software Architect, Junior positions, which includes participating in code review, analysis and design to ensure code quality. Occasionally, this position may require travel to a client site.
Francisco's capabilities as a Software Architect, Senior as well as his ability to research problems and provide efficient solutions have established him as an A-player in this position. Through his work with Johnson Controls Inc. in Milwaukee, WI, Francisco has written various applications that interface with BES (QAD) and SAP. His favorite project has been the MES Deco application he wrote for Stack Off. This application was originally written within a Rockwell environment, however, Francisco rewrote the application in .Net as he believed it would provide increased efficiency. This also would allow it to communicate more effectively with SAP, thus allowing for facilitated future enhancements. Francisco enjoys working with users and fellow developers to provide solutions that adhere to the requirements and facilitate the overall user experience.

At Pronto Progress, our Software Architects are pivotal to our operations. They design and develop desktop, mobile and console applications and services for our clients using a variety of programming languages such as, but not limited to the following: C#, Visual Basic, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, Java or Progress 4th GL. Their ability to compose and understand functional, technical and end-user specifications facilitates their ability to understand requirements and conduct effective work. Throughout the day, the Software Architect communicates the project status to the project leader bringing to their attention milestones that have been met, as well as any doubts or concerns they may have. From writing a software interface to revising or correcting errors in computer programs, software or systems, this position is at the heart of the Software development cycle. Occasionally, this position may require travel to a client site.
Eric’s capabilities as a Software Architect have established him as an A-player in this position. Through his work with Eric Gifford from GIG-Graham Insurance Group, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Eric worked primarily with Progress 4th GL on a WebSpeed application. The main goal of this project was to add additional endorsement functionality to their website. Eric worked on developing new processes with the company in order for users or administrators to manually amend their policies from the website with a click of a button. In the Software Architect position, Eric is skilled in C#, Progress 4GL, FormTrap, SSRS and design. Additionally, he enjoys developing and designing programs/applications that support existing functionality by either adding additional functions or creating an entirely new experience altogether.

The Software Architect, Junior is an internship-level position for students currently in their junior or senior year of university. This position is also intended for individuals seeking a professional career at Pronto Progress who have limited experience in the field. Throughout their time in this position, our interns acquire the necessary knowledge and hands-on experience to become successful in the Software Architect role at our company. Similar to the Software Architect, the junior position involves designing and developing desktop, mobile and console applications and services for our clients using a variety of programming languages such as, but not limited to the following: C#, Visual Basic, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, Java or Progress 4th GL. The intern maintains direct communication with their mentor by communicating the project status and milestones currently in process or that have been met. This position requires the ability to learn in a fast paced environment while dealing with real-world clients and information. Upon successful completion of an undergraduate program/degree, the intern may transition to the Software Architect role for a full-time position with Pronto Progress.

At Pronto Progress our Tester/Validators perform essential tasks that support our processes. They primarily consult with clients, distinguish specific business needs and ensure that these needs are met. As part of ensuring the client’s needs are met, the Tester/Validator analyzes and monitors software and systems to avert risk and prevent software issues. Additionally, the tester/validator writes and executes test scripts, as well as, creates and maintains documentation of the entire testing process. They have the ability to test in different environments, which can include both web and mobile. The Tester/Validator maintains daily communication with their mentor to ensure project goals are being met and the timeline for the project is satisfied.
Nadia's capabilities as a tester/validator have distinguished her as an A-player in this role. Throughout her work with Mike Erney from Emcee Electronics in Venice, FL, Nadia worked on an Amazon EDI project. This project features a program and EPICOR BPM that sends the necessary files for the Amazon order process, in order to facilitate its functionality. As a tester/validator, Nadia’s focus is placed primarily on ensuring the functionality of software and systems before they reach the client.
At Pronto Progress, the Project Leader plays an essential role by setting the corporate culture of the company through leadership. In this position, the leader interviews users, stakeholders and prospective employees on a wide array of matters. They set meetings to determine needs and desires regarding functionality and specifications for projects. They create solution statements, project plans and requirements matrices based on the needs of the client. Additionally, they manage against plans, as well as, communicate status to project stakeholders and customer IT department. Overall, they efficiently manage project risks and elevate the project constraints to ensure the client’s needs are met. This position provides supervision for all Software Architects, at both the Junior and Senior positions.
Andrew’s capabilities as a Project Leader as well as his years of experience in the field have established him as an A-player in this position. Throughout his work with Alan Rath from Beatrice Cheese in Waukesha, WI, he was able to successfully develop and implement a Patron Payroll system for farmers’ milk, meanwhile learning the business and the framework for system requirements. As a Project Leader, his focus is placed on supervising customer projects and providing mentoring and leadership to fellow developers.
At Pronto Progress, the Implementer/Trainer/Support position plays a vital role in our company. They primarily drive results to meet the needs of our clients by defining and executing implementation plans. They evaluate a client’s corporate needs, develop configurations that support business processes and conduct system installations. Additionally, they design custom interfaces, modify metrics and create custom reports throughout the process. Upon assisting external clients in the implementation of technical systems, software, hardware or solutions, they also provide training and end-user support during and after the process. The support aspect of this position requires testing and troubleshooting the final system and setup for clients. The Implementer/Trainer/Support specialist also provides training and mentorship to subordinate positions.
Patty's capabilities as an implementer, trainer and support specialist have made her an A-Player in this position. Throughout her work with Yannete Cole from NeuWave Medical, she was able to understand and conduct work to enhance their business processes. Patty implemented the EPICOR ERP system which allowed them to leverage its power to conduct their business. As a trainer, she has conducted training sessions for both internal and external parties all while providing additional support when necessary.
